DESCRIPTION:This event is part of the IML event Texas Trail Roundup and an additional fee is required to participate. \nPreregister at the event website: https://texastrailroundup.org/day-1-fredericksburg/. \nOnsite\, day-of registration with cash or card is available! \n*Buses leave from Springhill Suites in San Antonio at 6:00 am and 6:45 am. Preregistration required. 524 S. St. Mary’s\, San Antonio\, TX\, 78205. \nOpening ceremony starts at 9am\, followed immediately by the walk. All walkers must finish by 3:15pm. \n6k or 11k. Meet us in the beautiful town of Fredericksburg\, Texas\, where the AVA started 50 years ago! If you pick the bus option\, buses will pick you up at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Riverwalk Hotel\, San Antonio\, TX\, and drop you off at the Visitor’s Center in Fredericksburg. Otherwise\, we will meet you there. If you are on the bus\, you will be taken to the Visitor’s Center in Fredericksburg\, TX. From the Visitor’s Center\, you will walk to the Adelsverein covered pavilion\, where we will have a Grand Opening Ceremony to welcome all of our amazing guests. After the ceremony\, all the walks will begin. Preregister at https://texastrailroundup.org/day-2-marathon/ \nOnsite\, day-of registration with cash or card is available! \nAt Springhill Suites downtown\, 524 St Mary’s St. \n6am: Registration opens \n6:45am: 42K (marathon) start \n7am: First bus for 21K (half marathon) leaves \n8am: 10K starts. Second bus for 21K leaves. \n9am: 6K starts \n10:30am-4pm: Festivities at AVA office\, 1032 S. Alamo St. \n5pm: Office closes\, stamping ends. To get credit for finishing\, you must be done by 5pm for all events. \nWe will start our day bright and early walking through the heart of San Antonio\, TX. The walk will end at the National AVA Office where you will receive free drinks and churros from The Jewel and Churro Star\, plus live entertainment at The Jewel. Join us and get to know your fellow walkers and enjoy each other’s company! Tentative Schedule: 6:45 am – Marathon starts (42k) 7 am – Half Marathon starts (21k) 8 am – 10k starts 9am – 5k starts 10:30 am – festivities start back on alamo street.
